Derby Middle School Enrollment
Sixth Grade Center Parents are invited to Derby Middle School on Monday, February 6th from 6-7 pm to learn more about Derby Middle School and the enrollment process for the 2012-2013 school year. The students will be visiting Derby Middle School on the morning of February 14th for a presentation geared toward them. During this process the students will be asked to make some choices for classes next year. Your attendance at the Parent Night presentation will allow you to help guide your student in their selection.
You will also hear about Derby Middle School extracurricular options. There are grade guidelines in the Sixth Grade Center Student Handbook and 2nd Semester grades at the Sixth Grade Center determine extracurricular eligibility for the first semester at Derby Middle School.

Standard of Excellence
The Staff and Administration of the Derby Sixth Grade Center is thrilled to announce that our students in the 2010-2011 school year were awarded the Standard of Excellence in both Reading and Math by the Kansas State Department of Education. PT-6 Meeting
The Sixth Grade Center Parent/Teacher group (PT-6) had it first meeting and has scheduled its next meeting for February 12th at 7:00 pm in the Media Center. It is not too late to participate.
